LEARN MORE ABOUT THE FOUNTAIN OF AGAPE MISSION CENTRE

HUMBLE ORIGINS

Rev Daniel & Apostle Delphine are missionaries from Central Africa, Cameroon. In December 2007, we started Christian Life Bilingual church (French & English) in Coventry, the West Midlands, now known as the Fountain of Agape Mission Centre.

Daniel & Delphine graduated from Douala Bible School 1997 in Cameroon, Central Africa, after three years of successful study of the living Word of God. Daniel & Delphine obeyed the call of God, they served faithfully in the following ministries in Africa: God’s Covenant Church and the Zion Ministry in Cameroon.

Moving forward to the United Kingdom, Daniel & Delphine served under the leadership of Rev. Bonner Mick & Sandra in CLM, for four years.

We are a friendly group of all ages and backgrounds. Many people have got involved with no previous experience of church – in fact, that’s probably the best qualification! There is always an opportunity to receive prayer for any issues you may be going through, and everyone is welcome.

We are delighted that God called you to this church. A church that is filled with wonderful people, and we look forward to seeing you and your family getting involved in God’s work at your new home.

PARENTS AND TODDLERS GROUP

We will soon be starting a parent and toddlers group, which will be run by the Fountain of Agape Mission Centre Church members. All volunteers working with children have a current DBS (formerly CRB) certificate, and we adhere to an up-to-date child protection policy. It will be a friendly place for you to meet other parents and for your child to have fun. A charge of £1 per family will be made for refreshments. Throughout the year you will be invited to events such as visits to the local fire station and farms, and there will be an end of year party.

YOUTH AND STUDENTS

We are planning to start a youth group in the near future, to help youth and their families navigate the transition from childhood to young adulthood. We aim to do this by introducing the youth to a wide spectrum of issues and ideas, that will help them to emerge as well equip adults, grounded in faith.

We embrace each individual as a unique and beloved child of God. We aim to accept people where they are, and encourage them to grow in their relationship with God, their community and themselves, whilst also giving them the opportunity to have fun, and meet new friends.

We also welcome students from Warwick University and surrounding colleges. We seek to support students during their time at university or college, and feel passionate about seeing them grow in their relationship with God. We understand the importance of connecting with a church family while away from home, and the benefit it can bring.

If you are a student, we want you to feel comfortable, and will encourage you to be active in the church as your time allows. Apart from inviting you to Sunday Services, there will be other opportunities for you to feel part of the community, such as prayer meetings, connecting in small groups and socials.

Hands in prayer

PRAYER EVENING

Prayer meetings are held at the home of Rev Daniel and his wife Joe, where a warm welcome awaits all who attend. We begin with some informal time chatting over a cup of tea, followed by singing and praising God, led by Jeremy. This is followed by a quiet time of prayer. Connecting with others in a house group is vital to your spiritual growth. Our desire for you as you commit to one of our groups is that you will:

  • Experience care and love

  • Be matured by the wisdom of God's word

  • Be prayed for, and be active in praying for others

  • Devote yourself to time for fellowship.

New members are more than welcome, and are encouraged to take part as much or as little as they feel comfortable with. If you'd like to join, please do let us know.

Childcare is available during our Sunday services, to give mums, dads and grandparents some respite, allowing them to relax and get involved while the kids have fun.

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP

"Read" and" Study" are words that conjure up ideas of hard work, but don't be deterred. Members are encouraged to read the scriptures, but you'll find no tests at the end! The pattern of the meeting includes informal time with tea and coffee, followed by a lesson prepared by a member, then purposeful discussion about the lesson, with relevant Bible verses to enable us to have a better understanding of the scriptures.

Time is also given for prayer and quiet reflection, and members are invited to take sacrament. This is followed by lunch, which we ask each member to bring along with them, however tea and coffee is provided.

Fellowship is the keyword in our small groups. We grow in faith together and forge strong links with one another that are caring, supportive and completely confidential. There is trust in one another so that we can be completely open and honest in our discussions without the fear of being judged.

What We Do: Quote

Maybe you are returning to church, or coming to church for the very first time. You may feel like people are watching you or maybe that people will judge you. "Will the minister condemn me from the pulpit?" "Will people judge me if I look different to them?"

We do our best to make your visit a pleasant one.

If you need any further information at all, please don't hesitate to contact us. We can't wait to meet new friends.
